A Complete Glass Solution for a Contemporary Seaforth Residence

Completed in Seaforth in 2025, this residential project showcases a coordinated glass solution designed to enhance both the functionality and architectural character of a contemporary family home.

Working closely with the project team, Romano Glass supplied and installed frameless glass elements across multiple areas of the property, including glass balconies, pool fencing and custom shower screens. The result is a consistent visual language that complements the home’s modern design while preserving openness, natural light and uninterrupted views.

Frameless Glass Balconies with Side-Mounted Spigots

The elevated position of the residence provides expansive views across the surrounding landscape and toward the coastline. To maximise these outlooks, the balcony balustrades were constructed using frameless glass panels supported by side-mounted spigots.

This approach eliminates the need for floor-mounted hardware, preserving valuable usable space while maintaining clean architectural lines. The transparent balustrades create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living areas, allowing the views to remain the focal point of the design.

Pool Fencing Designed for Safety and Visibility

The swimming pool area required a barrier that satisfied safety requirements without disrupting the visual openness of the outdoor environment. For this application, frameless glass panels were installed using core-drilled spigots, providing a secure and discreet fixing solution.

The minimal hardware allows the fencing to blend naturally into the surrounding landscape while maintaining clear sightlines across the pool and entertaining areas. The result is a safe and elegant enclosure that supports the overall architectural vision of the property.

Custom Shower Screens for Modern Bathrooms

Within the residence, Romano Glass also completed the installation of custom shower screens, including dual shower configurations featuring fixed glass panels. The clean geometry of the glass contributes to the calm and contemporary atmosphere of the bathrooms while preserving a sense of space and light.

The frameless design integrates naturally with the selected finishes, creating a refined and understated aesthetic that aligns with the broader design language of the home.

A Unified Architectural Outcome

Although each glass application serves a different purpose, the project demonstrates the value of a coordinated approach to residential glazing. By integrating balconies, pool fencing and shower screens within a single design strategy, the home achieves a consistent visual identity from interior spaces through to outdoor living areas.

The Seaforth project reflects Romano Glass’ commitment to precision craftsmanship, architectural integration and tailored glass solutions for high-end residential environments.
